Ledgerfort Accounting provides Audit & Assurance services in Sri Lanka under chartered-accountant-led professional oversight. Each engagement is accepted only after its scope, the condition of the available records and the applicable professional requirements are confirmed privately with the client.
Who this is for
Our audit service suits Sri Lankan companies that require a statutory audit of their financial statements, and organisations whose stakeholders — banks, investors, boards or regulators — expect independently examined accounts.
Whether an audit fits your company’s circumstances is something we confirm privately, in a confidential conversation before any engagement — along with the scope and the applicable professional requirements. If you are unsure, ask; you will get a plain answer.
Engagement types
What we will not do. We do not audit financial statements that our own team prepared — independence rules prohibit it. Audit clients and accounting clients are kept strictly separate. We also do not provide audit or assurance services outside Sri Lanka.
The engagement process
We confirm independence, understand your entity and agree the engagement terms in writing.
We assess risk, understand your systems and agree the timetable and information requirements.
We examine records and evidence, communicate findings as they arise, and avoid last-minute surprises.
The responsible professional reviews, concludes and signs the report; we explain the outcome to you clearly.
Preparing for the audit
A full, entity-specific list is provided at planning. Well-organised records shorten the audit and reduce cost.
Professional standards
Ledgerfort Accounting’s services are delivered under chartered-accountant-led professional oversight, with quality-control review before any report is signed.
Audit questions
It depends on your company’s circumstances and on any requirements from lenders, investors or regulators — and it is exactly the kind of question we answer privately, for your specific situation, before any engagement. Ask us and you will get a clear answer.
Ledgerfort Accounting provides Audit & Assurance services in Sri Lanka under chartered-accountant-led professional oversight. Before accepting an engagement, we confirm its scope, the condition of the available records and the applicable professional requirements privately with the client — and the responsible professional personally reviews and concludes on every engagement before any report is signed.
No. Independence rules prohibit auditing financial statements our own firm prepared. You engage us either for accounting services or for audit — never both. If you need both, we will help you decide which to place with us and coordinate professionally with your other provider.
It depends on the size and condition of your records. After a scoping conversation we give you a realistic timetable in the engagement letter, with the information list agreed up front so delays are visible early rather than at the deadline.
Fees reflect the entity’s size, complexity and the state of its records — quoted in writing after scoping, before you commit. Clean, reconciled records genuinely reduce audit cost.
Yes. Confidentiality is a professional obligation, not a courtesy. Information is used only for the engagement, access is limited to the engagement team, and sensitive documents are exchanged through an approved secure method rather than public forms.
No. Audit and assurance services are provided only in Sri Lanka. Internationally we provide remote bookkeeping support only, and clients appoint locally authorised auditors where required.
Start with a confidential conversation about your entity and timetable. If both sides proceed, appointment follows the process applicable to your company — which we walk through with you privately as part of confirming the engagement’s scope and requirements.
