Your information, plainly explained
Privacy Policy
This notice explains what information this website collects, why, and how it is handled. It is written to reflect what actually happens — nothing more is collected than what you read here.
Who we are
“Ledgerfort Accounting”, “we” and “us” refer to the accounting practice operating this website from No. 5, Major Ajith Gunathilaka Mawatha, Dehiwala, Sri Lanka. For privacy questions, contact info@ledgerfortaccounting.com.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into our enquiry form: your name, email address, country or market, the service you are asking about, your enquiry message, and — optionally — your company name, telephone number and contact preference. The form does not accept file uploads, and we ask you not to submit passwords, banking credentials, identification documents or other highly sensitive information through it.
Why we collect it
To read, route and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not use enquiry information for marketing, and your consent on the form covers responding to your enquiry only.
How enquiries are handled
Your enquiry is delivered to Ledgerfort Accounting through its email system, with a reference number confirmed to you by an acknowledgement email. The website does not intentionally maintain a separate full-content archive of enquiries — the email delivered to our mailbox is the enquiry record. Responses come from our team during business hours (Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, Sri Lanka time).
Abuse prevention and technical logs
To protect the enquiry form from automated abuse, the website uses short-lived technical identifiers created by one-way hashing; raw IP addresses are not intentionally stored in these rate-limit records, and the records contain no form content. Our operational logs record only an enquiry reference, a timestamp and a general success-or-failure status — never your name, email address, telephone number or message.
Email communication
If you email us directly, we use your message and address to respond. Email is not a fully secure medium; where sensitive financial records need to be exchanged, we arrange an approved secure method rather than ordinary email.
How long we keep information
Enquiry correspondence is retained in our email system for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and any engagement that follows from it, and is then deleted or archived in line with our internal practices and any professional record-keeping obligations.
Security, honestly stated
We take reasonable technical and organisational precautions: the form uses spam protections and server-side validation, access to enquiries is limited to our team, and we collect the minimum information needed. No internet transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
When information may be shared
Enquiry information is not sold or shared for marketing. It may be processed by the service providers that operate our website hosting and email — solely to deliver those services — or disclosed where the law requires it. Those providers process and may retain data according to their own systems and retention practices, which we do not control.
International enquiries
Enquiries from outside Sri Lanka — including India, Hong Kong, China, the UAE and Malaysia — are received and handled in Sri Lanka, where this practice is based. By submitting an enquiry you understand your information will be processed in Sri Lanka.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics is off by default. No analytics scripts load, no analytics cookies are set, and no data is sent to Google unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the analytics preferences banner. If you choose “Reject non-essential”, the only thing stored is your preference itself, in your own browser.
What is measured after consent. With your consent, Google Analytics measures page usage (such as pages viewed, scrolling and clicks on outbound links) and a small set of approved interaction events: a successful enquiry being recorded, clicks on the consultation link, and clicks on our email address.
What is never sent. No information entered into our enquiry forms is intentionally sent to Google Analytics. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, company names, messages or enquiry reference numbers to Google. After you consent, Google may process technical information such as device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from your IP address, and pseudonymous identifiers, in accordance with Google’s own policies.
Your choices. You can reject analytics without losing access to any part of this website, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and this site’s Google Analytics cookies are removed where technically possible.
Settings we apply. Analytics data retention is set to 14 months. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. We do not use Google Ads, remarketing or advertising cookies on this website.
